 Condominium resort on beach, away from hubbub
- Only a mile or two from the bustle of Kaanapali and its two championship golf courses and 6 miles south of the golfing grandeur of Kapalua, this northwest Maui resort offer access to a quiet stretch of beach and the tranquility of condominium living.
- Air-conditioned units furnished comfortably in island style also provide ceiling fans as a cooling alternative. Each has a lanai (balcony or patio), a fully equipped kitchen, a washer/dryer, and a VCR with cable television.
- A large pool surrounded by a sundeck and adjacent to a sunning lawn offers an alternative to the beach. For relaxed entertainment, there are ping-pong tables, shuffleboard, and barbecue grills; two lighted tennis courts attract more energetic guests. Driving directions from Kahului Airport: Exit the airport on Keolani Pl. Stay in the middle lane and continue onto Dairy Rd/Hwy 380, which becomes Kuihelani Rd/Hwy 380 at the intersection with Puunene Ave. Continue straight on Kuihelani Rd/Hwy 380 until the next traffic signal. Turn left onto Honoapiilani Hwy/Hwy 30 and continue north past Lahaina and Kaanapali. Turn left onto Akahele St. Turn right onto Lower Honoapiilani Rd and continue north. The resort is on the left.
Getting there: Rental cars (available online) are the most popular option, especially since most visitors use one during their stay. Shuttles and taxis are also available, and both cost more than $36. Fee subject to change without notice. Advance reservations are required for shuttle service.
Getting around: Guests can walk to several shops and restaurants located nearby. For destinations further afield, most use rental cars (available online) to navigate the area. Taxis are available as well but can be expensive. Guests can also take advantage of tour services that lead excursions all over Maui; there is an activity desk at the hotel that can provide assistance.
