Getting there: For the solo traveler, the best option from any of the airports is a shuttle van ($16–25). There are more inexpensive options, including buses from all three airports ($5–15), and the Air Train from JFK ($5–15); however, these alternatives will not take travelers directly to the hotel. A taxi or subway will be needed for the balance of the trip. (All fees subject to change without notice.)
Getting around: Walking is an excellent way to visit attractions in the immediate area, and to experience the city. For other destinations, the subway is a good choice (less than $5; fees subject to change without notice), especially during peak traffic. Taxis are another good way to get around town. Rental cars are not recommended.
