Literally everything is within reach when you stay at the Ananas. The historical city centre is no more than five minutes away by car (depending on the traffic) or the underground will get you there in no time. Take the underground U4 which is directly opposite the hotel, in three minutes the train reaches the ÃÂKarlsplatzàwhere the Stateopera is situated and you are in the heart of town. From the Opera you can either walk down the Naschmarkt (market) past the beautiful art nouveau Secession building, or down the Kärntnerstrasse boulevard towards the St. Stephens cathedral. The old city center with all its attractions can be included in a lovely walking tour of Vienna . The Opera is also the ideal starting point for a tour around the famous Ringstrasse (possible with the 1 or 2 Tramway line or by car). Along the Ringstrasse you will see the Opera, the Hofburg winter palace, the museums of Fine Arts and Natural History, the Stadtpark with the famous Johann Strauss statue, the other beautiful gardens like the Burggarten, Volksgarten etc, the Parliament, the City Hall, the Burg Theater, the University, the Votivchurch and many other highlights of Vienna. To visit the Palace of Schönbrunn again use the U4 connection till Schönbrunn (just 8 minutes by underground.
